THE SOUND OF SUMMER

2 STAGES  14 ACTS

New in 2019, the full-scale music festival within the Reno River Festival is expanding to two stages! The new stage not only brings more live entertainment to the festival, it also creates a bigger Craft Beer Village and more shopping!

The Main Amphitheater Stage let’s you get up-close to one of the hottest rising stars in music, viral sensation Filmore! Nationally recognized artists and local bands will play everything from country to pop to reggae to rock to blues to the oldies. The new Peninsula Stage features performances by singer/songwriters who have written some of the biggest hits on the radio. Two stages. 14 acts. This is your ultimate free live music experience at the ultimate summer kickoff party.

In 2019, Filmore will rock the Wingfield amphitheater Main Stage. His latest EP, “Last Year,” had two tracks land on Spotify’s highly-coveted “New Music Friday” multi-genre playlist. His song “Slower” has amassed over 20 million spins with placements on Spotify’s “Wild Country”, “New Boots”, and “Hot Country” playlists, Pandora’s “New Country”, and XM The Highway. Known for his electric live performances, Filmore has performed at Stagecoach, CMA Fest, Country Thunder USA, and has opened for artists including Sam Hunt, Michael Ray, Russell Dickerson, Chase Rice, and Jon Pardi. He is the only independent artist to ever be the face of the Hot Country Playlist on Spotify, one of the largest and most listened to playlists on the platform.

The new Peninsula Stage features singer/songwriters behind some of the most recognized songs on the radio performing the music they wrote for major stars. The Peninsula Stage is located on the opposite side of the festival from the Main Stage. Now, whether you’re sipping a brew in the Craft Beer Village, shopping in the Smuggler’s Village, or watching world-renowned athletes compete on the Truckee River, you can enjoy some of your favorite music performed live by the artists who created it.

The Reno River Festival’s Music Festival has become the place to see some of the biggest stars in country music right before they make it big. In 2018, ACM New Male Artist of the Year nominee Jimmie Allen took the stage. Previous headliners also include Drake White, Clare Dunn, and RCA’s Old Dominion, who have all gone on to perform for massive crowds at Nevada’s premier country music festival, Night in the Country.

It’s not just country. The Music Festival features a wide array of music genres and artists. There’s a performance for every musical taste.

The Reno River Festival’s music festival will rock downtown Reno Saturday, May 11th and Sunday, May 12th. The concerts in Wingfield Park are free! You don’t want to miss this.

The American music flame will never go out as long as young artists such as Maxx Cabello Jr. take the torch and keep it burning. This young amazing guitarist, soulful vocalist, and prolific songwriter, hails from the streets of the San Francisco Bay area where he is turning heads and bending the ears of the most jaded veteran musicians and music aficionados. Straight out of the South Bay, this quiet-spoken young man turns into a powerful and captivating artist when he begins to play the guitar. We expect his star to be on the rise in the musical sky before long.

His shades of music are reminiscent of the most renowned guitarists of our time. In his work are the inspirations of Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana, but Maxx definitely adds his own artistry, showing only influences by the guitar legends.

PETE MROZ

Saturday May 11th, 2:30pm

I moved to Nashville, TN when I was 19 years old to be a country music singer. Early on I was influenced musically by Steve Green, Eric Clapton and Garth Brooks. Through the years I have written and recorded three albums and shared the stage with many great musicans who have shaped and molded me into the artist I am.  Though I never became that country star, my path was to be a journeyman … exploring different genres of music, I have learned to not take myself too seriously and know my place in this world. Everyday I have the blues and everyday I am thankful to be alive!
