The Reno River Festival’s Music Festival Presented by Custom Ink
The ultimate summer kick-off party will feature the ultimate music experience! Presented by Custom Ink, this full-scale music festival within the Reno River Festival let’s you get up-close to some of the hottest rising stars in country music. Saturday’s headliner, Jimmie Allen, is one of the most talked about artists in country music right now. Allen has earned the praises of critics and music lovers alike, earning a spot on nearly every must-know list, and his songs are currently skyrocketing to the top of playlists across the nation. Allen is just one of nearly a dozen acts to take the stage River Festival weekend. He as well as performers Brewer’s Grade, Jessie Leigh, and Nate Botsford, have toured with some of the megastars of country music.
Year after year, the Reno River Festival’s Music Festival has been a launching point to Nevada’s premier country music festival, Night in the Country. Previous River Festival headliners Drake White, Clare Dunn, and RCA’s Old Dominion have all gone on to perform for massive crowds on the Night in the Country stage.

Allen was recently named one of Billboard’s “15 Country Artists to Watch in 2018” and earned spots in CMT’s “18 for 2018” Listen Up program and Bobby Bones’ Class of 2018. He’s also been featured on Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know,” Pandora’s “Country Artists to Watch 2018,” Sounds Like Nashville’s “13 New Country Artists to Watch 2018,” NYCountry Swag’s “2018 One’s to Watch,” and Country Music Rocks’ “CMR Artists to Watch 2018.”
The BBR Music Group artist has written a song that was featured in a Super Bowl commercial. He has also appeared in a Diet Coke ad with superstar Taylor Swift. He is currently introducing his music across the country sharing the stage with the likes of David Nail and superstar Toby Keith. He also performed in a Armed Forces Entertainment tour to Japan.
CMT calls Allen a self-made man whose story is one of the most inspiring tales to come out of Music Row in the last decade. He is sharing his story through his docu-series “Jimmie Allen All In,” in which he speaks candidly about being homeless in Nashville, while pursuing his dream.

The Freshmakers will open the Reno River Festival Music Festival presented by Custom Ink. The band is a high-energy, performance-focused party band from the Bay Area. While focusing on a setlist that is chalk full of songs from the last 5 years, they also take on the most nostalgic tunes from the 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s. Their show is an audio and visual event aimed at getting you out of your seat and make memories to your favorite songs, old and new!

The Reno River Festival loved Jessie Leigh’s performance so much last year, we’ve brought her back! She has opened for a number of national acts including Chris Janson, Kenny Chesney, Craig Campbell, Josh Gracin, and more. Leigh and her band also won the prestigious 2015 Battle of the Bands, played at the Oregon Jamboree, and tour in Oregon, Washington, California, and Nevada. Leigh infuses her rock and roll attitude into her country style and has been praised for her fresh, unique sound as well as her ability to take “old school music and make it relevant.” Although the main genre is country, her songs are influenced by a variety of music styles and they appeal to a wide range music lovers.
Island of Black & White

After headlining the Reno River Roll, the Island of Black and White will close out Saturday’s music line-up. Founded in the Foothills of El Dorado, their music is a sweet, humble, yet raw blend of acoustic rock, funky reggae, and soulful blues. It is a mixture like no other, and one that recently earned them a Sammies Music Award for Reggae/Jam. With over 40 originals, the unique sound of Island of Black and White captures the attention of those young and old. Not only does the band enjoy playing, but their incredible performances engage all who listen; and the energy is shared with the entire crowd.
Brewer’s Grade has been delivering solid performances of 100% original Northwest Country music since 2013. Their debut album “Jumpin’ In,” which features polished and heartfelt vocals, a solid, driving rhythm section, and expertly crafted solos and fills, showcases the group’s diverse range of talent and influences, along with their ability to cross genre lines while still remaining true to their country roots.
Since the release of “Jumpin’ In,” Brewer’s Grade has continued to expand their reach with appearances on large festival stages such as Bi-Mart’s Willamette Country Music Fest, as well as performances at top venues like Hollywood’s iconic “Wiskey a Go Go.” Along the way, they have been invited to share the region’s largest stages with many of country music’s biggest stars including Randy Travis, Martina McBride, Tracy Lawrence, Eric Church, Randy Houser, Steve Holy and Rodney Adkins… just to name a few.

Popular Portland-based artist Nate Botsford’s songs have received regular rotation radio play and won numerous awards, including the 2015 Project Aloft National Songwriting Contest. His hybrid style of music with its feel-good vibe and relatable lyrics has pleased crowds across the country. Botsford has performed up to 300 shows a year for the last five years, sharing the stage with the likes of Eric Hutchinson, Barenaked Ladies, James Bay, Ingrid Michaelson, and Lukas Graham. His full-length release “Hourglass” including the single “This is Your Moment,” co-written with acclaimed producer Billy Mann, is now available on Itunes, Amazon and CD Baby.

Due to overwhelming popular demand, the Reno River Festival is bringing back Hit Parade to the Music Festival. Honestly, they are one of the best cover bands we have ever seen. Ranked as Northern California’s #1 variety group, Hit Parade is an energetic professional “cover” band. Dedicated to putting on the most outrageous show you have ever seen, the band performs a variation of over two hundred songs stretching from the 80s till present, from Pop to Dance, Country to Classic Rock, and everything in between. Hit Parade puts on a show that will have you singing, dancing, and just having an amazing time.

Reno-based Keyser Soze has an original ska/rocksteady sound with strong jazz and soul influences. The 6-piece ensemble made a strong presence for themselves with their first two releases, “Who is Keyser Soze?”, and “Revenge,” touring regularly throughout the West Coast. In 2011, Keyser Soze released their third record, “But Not For You”. The single, “Next To Me”, has received significant air-play on college radio stations and ska/reggae radio shows across the nation. Currently, the band is playing shows to promote their latest record, “The Remedy”, which has been released in June 2013 on Megalith/Rocking Records.
